CLAS Fellows Stories
Pro Bono SG
A documentary short for Pro Bono SG on the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, the volunteer programme that pairs lawyers with defendants who qualify for legal assistance in criminal cases. The brief was to make the case for the scheme to a public that mostly hears about it abstractly. We built the film around former CLAS Fellow Pramnath Vijayakumar’s account of one case, with the case itself reconstructed in animation to preserve client anonymity. The animation also keeps the focus on the procedural arc rather than on the individuals involved. Made for Pro Bono SG’s recruitment and public communications work.
