The Garden that Feeds

A documentary short for NParks’ Community in Bloom programme, set inside a single garden at Marine Crescent Villa. The brief was to make the case for community gardens as more than aesthetic. As actual food production, as social infrastructure, as a quietly serious answer to Singapore’s food security questions. We let the residents do the work: from soil to harvest to a meal cooked from what came out of the bed. Filmed across a planting cycle. Made for NParks’ awareness push around Singapore’s edible-garden network.
